No oil changes, but cabin filters, brake fluid testing, tyre rotation, wipers, and the 12V battery all remain. Tesla also recommends servicing brake callipers where roads are salted, which includes most Irish winters.
Where cars are serviced
Tesla services cars in Ireland at Sandyford in south Dublin and at Fota Junction Retail Park in Cork. A further Dublin facility at Charlestown was reported to be opening in autumn 2026, with sales, handover, and servicing. Tesla also has sales staff in Galway and Limerick.
Most work is booked in the Tesla app rather than by phone, and a lot of it never reaches a workshop: mobile technicians handle many repairs wherever the car is parked, and can diagnose ahead of a centre visit when parts are needed.

Warranty
Every Tesla comes with a basic vehicle warranty and a separate, longer battery and drive unit warranty. The battery and drive unit cover runs eight years, with a kilometre limit and a minimum battery capacity retention that depend on the exact version you bought. Tyres
Heavy, torquey cars wear tyres faster. Replace with the correct load rating and size for your wheels, and keep an eye on alignment if you notice uneven wear.
Body repairs
Approved repair networks matter for electric cars. Aviva, for example, says it works with ARM/ACE, which it describes as the only Tesla-approved repairer in Ireland. Check your insurer's network before you need it.
Roadside assistance
Roadside cover comes with the car for the warranty period, and is requested in the app. Your insurer or a motoring organisation may also cover breakdowns, so check for overlap before paying twice.
Before you buy a used one
- Check how much of the eight-year battery and drive unit warranty is left, in years and kilometres.
- Ask for the service history in the app, including any body repairs.
- Look at the tyres: matched, correct size, and even wear across the tread.
- Check the charge cable and any adapters are with the car.
- Take a longer test drive so the car warms up and you can hear suspension and drivetrain noise.
